French and Saunders
Dawn French (The Vicar of Dibley and Jennifer Saunders (Absolutely Fabulous) formed the popular comedy duo in the late 1980's, the show was given one of the highest budgets in BBC history - which in turn produced some of the funniest spoofs of everything from films to other comedies in history. Saunders has won a BAFTA, an Emmy award and international acclaim for playing and writing the lead role Edina Monsoon in Absolutely Fabulous, she has also starred in the US comedy, 'Friends'.She has more recently starred in 'The life and times of Vivenne Vyle' and, along with French, 'Jam and Jarusalem' all penned for the BBC. French is perhaps most widely kown for her role in the very popular 'VIcar of Dibley', which was recently voted the Nations 2nd favourite comedy ever, falling just short of 'Only Fools and Horses' - all in all these two girls have become a national institution.

- Mamma Mia (film) - recently on the 2009 comic relief.
- The Silence of the Lambs (this sketch has been voted in the top 10 movie sketches of all time - Saunders amazing performance of Jodie Foster is uncanny).
The 'French and Saunders' sketch show is now according to the girls 'dead' however they still plan to work together in many comedies to come, however, it seems highly likely that single sketches will appear every few years as the show is just so popular it seems unlikely to ever end.
